| My Favorite You too can share! We are enjoying this new feature called MY FAVORITE CARD. I realize this is a tough assignment. Choosing just one card is a major feat. However we believe you are up to the task and we would love to hear your stories! It's up to you but some ideas are to tell us where you got the card, where it came from, the history of the topic, why this topic is interesting to you, etc. etc. etc. I can bring my laptop and scanner to the meeting if you let me know. You can also email them to me at rememberwhenshows@yahoo.com or mail a xerox to Terri McDaniels 6613 E 47th Street So Derby KS 67037. Xerox copies do not work the best so please try to get it scanned if at all possible. We certainly want to be able to see the detail in your special card! |

Auction It will be here before you know it! Yes, it’s time to start preparing for our annual Wichita Postcard Club auction. This year’s sale will be on Saturday, April 5, starting at 9 am at the 1st Presbyterian Church of Derby at 324 N Baltimore in Derby. Map shown at left. It is 1 block south of Madison and K15 (Baltimore) in Derby. Again this year we will have a 5 lot maximum per member but a lot can include multiple cards if desired. Here’s a chance to sell some of your overstock or duplicate postcards or dispose of a topic you are no longer interested in. The seller receives 85% of the sale price with 15% going to the club treasury. Send your lots to Phil McDaniels 6613 E 47th Street South Derby KS 67037 to be received by March 22. |

| Martin Check List Thanks to Dennis McBurney the ILLUSTRATED CHECKLIST OF REAL PHOTO POST CARDS BY WILLIAM H. "DAD" MARTIN OTTAWA, KANSAS 1908 to 1911" has been published! This 40 page three hole punched publication comes in a report folder. It is printed on good paper and the illustrations are clear. It can be ordered by sending a check made out to the Wichita Postcard Club for $15.00 + $4.60 Priority Mail shipping for a total of $19.60. RICK GEARY CHECK LIST Each year artist Rick Geary produces great cards for us AND many others. We have developed a check list to keep track of all these wonderfully detailed and imaginative cards which helps us know which ones we "need" to add to our collections. Each year we offer an update which includes the cards from that year and any others that we have discovered that should be inserted in past years. We appreciate anyone letting us know if we are missing a card so we can be sure we are as accurate as possible! This list is arranged by year that the card was produced. You can tell which year most of Rick's cards are designed by looking at his initials somewhere on the card which usually include the last two digits of the year. The small format also has an alphabetical index of who published the card. We will be adding an index to the new format next year as well. The small format is still available for $12.00 (includes shipping). Updates are only $4.00 per year. Each update includes the pages for that year as well as a new cover page and index. See below for a new BIGGER option! Even those that already have their list will want this new format! |

Keeping in Touch Many of our members can use our thoughts, prayers, and/or postcards of encouragement. If you would like to be on a list to receive group emails regarding members health, email the editor at rememberwhenshows@yahoo.com . Members, please be sure to notify our editor of any information that you would like to be distributed to those members on the list. We also list members' birthdays in each issue so let us know your date if you would like to be included. |
